Follow Friday # 27

Hi everyone!! Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read!!

I hope everyone is having a great week!! Here is this Friday's question:

Q:What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaptation of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

A: Ah such a hard question! Of course I love seeing my favorite books become into movies but I think I would be nervous if Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins was made into a movie. Anna is of my all time favorite books and I wouldn't want them to cut out my favorite details! Especially scenes with the glorious Etienne and Anna!! That being said I still think Anna and The French Kiss could work as a movie..but it has to be done the right way :)
Other books would include The Book Thief, Shatter Me, Angelfire, and Unearthly!! These books are just too good/I'm nervous about them being changed!!

Well what do you think of my respond? What book would you be nervous to see be made as a movie?? Comment below and leave me some links :D

  2. Completely agree with you about Anna and Shatter Me. For me, I would be worried about casting and lost nuances.

  3. Oh I definitely agree about Unearthly and Angelfire! I love those books to death (especially Will and Christian! -swoons-) x) I haven't read Anna yet but I plan to in the future. :) I just hear so many positive reviews about it!

  4. I think, if done right and they cast the right people, that Anna and the French Kiss could be an adorable rom-com, as well as Lola and the Boy Next Door could be too. And I definitely agree with you about Angefire and Unearthly! :)

Definite new follower of your super amazing blog, hopping through! :)

  9. Anna would be a hard one to do well in a film! I probably wouldn't go see it if it was tbh.

  11. I'm so with you on the Book Thief. I just don't know how they are going to pull it off! That book was so amazing!

I think Jeff Bridges is going to be heavily involved in the movie adaptation of it though, so maybe it will turn out ok? I really like his work.

  12. I haven't read Anna and the French Kiss, but I definitely agree with the Book Thief. I don't see how they could turn that into a movie. I'm an old follower. Here's my FF: http://meganm922.blogspot.com/2012/04/feature-and-follow-friday.html

  13. I don't think I'd like to see Anna as a movie. The book is great but mostly because of the narrating, and the magic would probably be lost if it was a movie.. :/

  14. I could get behind the idea of Anna and the French Kiss as a movie, if it were well cast...maybe.

  17. You are absolutely right! There is no way this could be a good movie! Only because no one would get the right Etienne! Great pick! New follower!
