Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin Teen for sending me a copy of this book for review!

Summary:
Everyone knows that Chelsea Knot can't keep a secretUntil now. Because the last secret she shared turned her into a social outcast—and nearly got someone killed.
Now Chelsea has taken a vow of silence—to learn to keep her mouth shut, and to stop hurting anyone else. And if she thinks keeping secrets is hard, not speaking up when she's ignored, ridiculed and even attacked is worse.

But there's strength in silence, and in the new friends who are, shockingly, coming her way—people she never noticed before; a boy she might even fall for. If only her new friends can forgive what she's done. If only she can forgive herself.

I requested this book on netgalley mainly for its cover. A cover without a beautiful girl with a pretty dress and sad eyes, finally. A simple and different cover that i loved since i first seen it. But the cover is nothing compared to the book.

I started and finished Speechless in a few hours. The author wrote a beautiful and captivating story that make you think and reflect about how our words can hurt someone, and how you can change who you are and repair your mistakes.

I'm not going to say much about the plot. I think this is one of those books that you must read without any premise, discovering the story and the characters page after page.
So, here is a brief blurb. Chelsea is the classic mean girl who has as best friend the most popular girl of the school, Kristen. And she can't keep her mouth shut. She wants to be accepted by her friends, so she tells them every single secret she learns, not caring of the consequences. When one of the secrets she shared nearly got a guy killed, and ruined her social life, Chelsea decide to do the world a favor and she takes a vow of silence, determined to keep it.

At first i didn't like much Chelsea. All she wanted was to be popular and to be accepted by Kristen.I think every girl feels the need to be accepted by her group of friends, but if being accepted means ruin someone's life, then it really worth it?

She was ruthless and cruel at the beginning, but after the incident with one of her secrets, she starts to change and discover herself, and during her vow of silence she learns so much about herself and her life.

The other characters are all fantastic. I absolutely loved Sam, he was so sweet and funny, with his amazing cooking skills!Asha is a wonderful character too!She always sees the good in the people, and she gives Chelsea a chance when everyone hate her!

So my rating is four stars! This book is definitely a must read for all fans of Young Adults and well written novels, absolutely recommended!
