My Review:

My Soul to take is definitely one of my favourite reads of the year. It has all the things i want to find in a book. A unique and beautiful story, a strong heroine, fantastic male leads and secondary characters, and an amazing writing style.

Before i started this book, i was a little scared i would have been one of the few readers who didn't like it at all, but then I've been nicely surprised!I absolutely loved it, this is one of those novels that capture you from the first page, that make you stay up all night and that make you unable to stop thinking about the story!

Kaylee lives with her aunt, uncle and cousin since her father has decided to move to Ireland after her mother's death, and sometimes she has strange panic attacks that make her scream without reason.
When she and Emma, her best friend who knows about her secrets panick attacks, sneak in a club and meet Nash, Kaylee can't believe that the georgeous and popular Nash Hudson is talking to her. And then she sees a pretty girl in the club, suddenly a strange sadness overwhelms her, and she fells the terrible urge to scream and she inexplicably knows that this girl is about to die. Nash calms her and slowly the need to scream subsides. The guy seems to know something about her attacks, but who he really is?

I loved Kaylee, i think she's a great character! She grows so much throughout the book!
The Kaylee we find at the end is completely different from the the carefree teenager who was at the beginning of the book! She has to come to terms with her real nature and her powers really fast, because learn to use her abilities is the only way to stop the terrifying deaths of her classmates.

Unfortunately i didn't like Nash very much. His relationship with Kaylee develops really too fast, they fall in love with each other instantly, and at first i was a bit annoyed by Nash's suddenly interest in her.
Tod instead is a really intersting character!I'm very curious to find more about him and his job!

My rating is 4 stars! My Soul to take is, like i said early, one of the best reads of the year!Absolutely recommended to everyone who's looking for a well written and original story!

  3. I loved this one too! I haven't been able to read any of the others in the series, but I really really want to because, like you said, this one was awesome! I do agree, though, that the insta-love was kind of annoying. But it was still a good read! Great review :)

  4. This series is my favorite of all time! And I loved this book, too! I'm so glad you liked it! You have to read the other books, too! For me the 5th (If I Die) and 6th (Before I Wake) book was the best, I cried my eyes out! :D
