Waiting on Wednesday 7: Half-Blood

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine!

Title:
Half-Blood (Covenant # 1)
Publisher: Spencer Hill Press
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Release Date: October 18th, 2011

Is it October yet??! I am super excited for this book! I actually read the prequel to this book a few days ago (link to this free ebook is here: http://www.site.spencerhillpress.com/Daimon.php) and it got me even more hooked to this book! I love books with any type of mythology (especially Greek Mythology) so I know this is going to be a great read!
Side Note: Isn't the cover gorgeous? I love the colors!

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

  27. This book is fantastic, but the folks who are saying they've read other books by this author are confusing her with Jennifer Armintrout, since this is Jennifer L. Armentrout's debut novel.

  28. The love interest is not only forbidden but so wonderful good! I liked that Ms. Armentrout created a relationship that is modifiable to the world she created. So many rules and regulations make this relationship so much more wanted! Just the thought of it being forbidden, made every stolen moment that they took made it so much more addicting!!!
