My Review:
Wow...I can't believe this series is actually over! I seriously was blown away by the finale to this epic series...it was well written, had tons of action, and of course romance :)

What I really liked about Goddess is that we really got to see how much Helen has grown over the series. No longer do we see the shy girl who is unsure of herself, but now we see Helen as someone who will do anything to protect her loved ones and is willing to do anything to protect them. I also thought it was interesting to read about the new powers that Helen gains..I don't want to give away any spoilers but Helen becomes very powerful in this book and I liked seeing the new talents she gained. The plot of Goddess definitely was a great pace..not to slow or fast! Josephine Angelini did a fantastic job of explaining the mythology and new characters that she introduced into this novel which I really liked.

Now onto Lucas..oh Lucas. This book just made me love him even more. You can see his dedication to Helen and how he is willing to do anything for her. He really is such a sweet guy and I loved reading scenes with him in it. Again, I don't want to give anything away but if you are a big Helen and Lucas fan then you will love the ending of this book.

In the end, I LOVED Goddess! It was a fantastic ending to a truly wonderful series. The only thing that I am disappointed about is that there are a couple loose ends that the author didn't really tie up..I'm hoping she writes another book in the future with all of our favorite characters. I definitely will be rereading this series again in the future because I loved this amazing journey that this series took me on.

Thank you Spencer Hill Press for sending me a copy of this book for review!
Summary:
Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

My Review:
Jennifer L. Armentrout has done it again! I didn't think anything could top Deity but I was so wrong..this book was FANTASTIC. This book has action, romance, and lots of awesome revelations!

I LOVED the romance in this book! My love for team Aiden was affirmed in this novel..he never gives up on her. He is so loving towards Alex, he really cares for her and he will do anything to protect Alex. Alex and Aiden both really compliment each other as well. Alex with her strong will and passion and Aiden with his protectiveness and how he is willing to give Alex his whole heart. Even though the the time they have is brief-what they have makes me hope in the end of this series that love will conquer all.

The plot of this book is so awesome! Every scene is action packed and no scene should be overlooked. I’m really glad Jennifer gives us all of these important details and sets up the stage for the next book. I loved seeing the progression of Alex throughout this book as well. No longer do we see the angry girl that we met in the first book but instead we see a girl with a passion to protect those around her and will do anything to help others. I loved how this book sets things up for the final book in the series. Of course this book ended with a cliffhanger..but I am so excited to see what happens next!

Overall, this book literally was so brilliantly written, so earth shattering, that I still can't stop thinking about it. Jennifer L. Armentrout is a fabulous writer, and probably one of the best YA authors out there. If you haven't read this series yet GO READ IT. It literally is such an amazing series and you won't regret it.

My Review:
You know those books you read, the ones that you think about for days after you've read it and the words keep replaying over and over in your head? This above description exactly fits how I felt when I finished Unravel Me. This whole past day, all I've been thinking about is how jaw dropping Unravel Me was and how it took my breath away from start to finish.

Tahereh Mafi's writing style is so fantastic and brilliant, and really gets me swept into Juliette's story. The words are so poetic, and I really feel that I can actually feel what Juliette is going through when I read this book. This was the type of book that I stayed up so late in the night to finish because I had to know what going to happen next. The plot of Unravel Me was fantastic..it picks up right off where Shatter Me ended. It was interesting to see Juliette interact with different people then just Warner and Adam, and I liked seeing her go out of her comfort zone. Her whole life she has been afraid of being near other people and now she is around so many different people. Plot wise, Unravel Me was fantastic. The only thing that made me a little sad was that the ending was a cliffhanger!! Not as bad as Shatter Me's ending, but this one for sure will make the wait for the next book feel like forever.

Now onto the romance, literally this part of the book took my breath away. All throughout Shatter Me, I was always such a big fan of Adam. He is so sweet towards Juliette and puts his whole heart into everything for her which is so great. Warner, literally is the opposite of Adam. During Shatter Me I really really really didn't like him, especially after seeing all of the horrible things he had done. I didn't think I would like Warner at all during Unravel Me, but I was totally shocked. Warner goes through some major character development in this book and I really felt like he became almost a new character. I've definitely warmed up to Warner (just like Juliette has) in this book and I am excited to see where this love triangle will take us next.

Overall, this book literally was so brilliantly written, so earth shattering, that I still can't stop thinking about it. Tahereh Mafi is a fabulous writer, and probably one of the best YA authors out there. If you haven't read this series yet GO READ IT. It literally is such an amazing series and you won't regret it.

My Review:
Why is Jennifer L. Armentrout so amazing? Seriously..I have yet to read a book by her that doesn't sweep my off my feet and get me so hooked on a series! Anyways, I absoutely LOVED Opal! From start to finish this book was flawless.
Of course, I loved the plot of Opal! After Dawson returning at the end of the last book, I wasn't really sure what to expect plot wise from Opal. Jennifer does a great job of picking things off where they ended in the last book. There really was non stop action from start to finish. I absolutely love the main character, Katy (otherwise known as Kitten by Daemon). She definitely has grown up so much from the first two books. and has become so much more independent then the first time we meet Katy in book one. As the story progresses I felt that she becomes a much more stronger female lead and figures out who she really is. Of course I loved Daemon's one liners..he is seriously amazing. One minute he can be the biggest jerk, but then the next minute he can be the sweetest guy ever. He really cares for Katy which I love.

I seriously loved every scene that Katy and Daemon were in. Seeing them together as a couple made me so happy. I loved seeing their relationship grow throughout the span of the book and they are just so adorable. The end of this book AH. Such a cliffhanger!!!! I thought the last book ended on a cliffhanger but this one definitely is worse. I CAN'T WAIT TILL SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!! I really don't want to give anything away but you will all be blown away by the ending!
Overall, I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED OPAL! If you haven't read this series please go do so. You won't regret it!!!!!!

"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate..

My Review:
Jennifer L. Armentrout has done it again! Deity has to be my favorite book in the half blood series and one of my favorites this year! This book has action, romance, and lots of awesome revelations!

I LOVED the romance in this book! Once again, I am back on team Aiden! After reading Pure, I actually sort of started to like Seth-but after reading Deity I am back on Aiden’s team! Aiden is so loving towards Alex, he really cares for her and he will do anything to protect Alex. I really love how he loves her for who she is-no matter that she’s a half-blood or will become the apollyon. Alex and Aiden both really compliment each other as well. Alex with her strong will and passion and Aiden with his protectiveness and how he is willing to give Alex his whole heart. Even though the the time they have is brief-what they have makes me hope in the end of this series that love will conquer all.

The plot of Deity is so awesome! Every scene is action packed and no scene should be overlooked. I don’t want to give away any spoilers but we really learn SO MUCH important information in this book. From the council, Seth, the underworld and Aiden-so many questions are answered but so many more formed. I’m really glad Jennifer gives us all of these important details and sets up the stage for the next book. I loved seeing the progression of Alex throughout this book as well. No longer do we see the angry girl that we met in the first book but instead we see a girl with a passion to protect those around her and will do anything to help others.

Overall, Deity is another phenomenal book to an AMAZING series. I highly recommend that you check this book out and if you haven’t read this series..please do!

My Review:
At first, I really didn't know what to expect with Mystic City. I've had a love hate relationship with dystopian books-some I have absolutely loved and others I have really loathed. I am happy to say that I really really enjoyed Mystic City! Has to be one of my favorite dystopian's that I have read in a long time!

One of my favorite parts about Mystic City definitely was the uniqueness of the plot. It was interesting to see what the author imagined what New York might look like in the future. It was cool to see the different advancements in technology and how the world had become such a different place. I really loved how the author was able to use such vivid imagery in describing the city: I could really picture it in my head! What I liked about the plot was that it had sort of a Romeo and Juliet feel to it-but with many twists and turns! I loved how the plot was unpredictable at times and there were so many parts that I didn't expect. The aspect of the mystics was a great part to the plot too! It was cool to see how the author Incorporated that into the plot and made it very unique! I liked learning about the mythology of the mystic too..and I can't wait to learn more about them in the next book!

I also really liked the main character Aria. It was great to see her progress throughout the novel and I really liked seeing her character develop! What I liked so much about her was that she didn't give up-and when she knew something was wrong she wasn't going to give in. She knew that she didn't love Thomas-and she didn't give into all the lies swirling around her. I also liked seeing her relationship with Hunter. No matter what they went through they kept fighting for a chance at love and I really liked them together! I thought their relationship was very sweet and I can't wait to see more of them in the next book.

Overall, I really enjoyed Mystic City! It was a great summer read and an awesome dystopian book! If you are looking for something similar to delirium and shatter me..definitely pick this one up!

My Review:
Amazingness again!!!! Jennifer L. Armentrout has totally blown me away with Onyx! I didn't think anything would top Obsidian, but Onyx took me on an amazing ride that I couldn't put down.

Where to begin? I absolutely love the main character, Katy (otherwise known as Kitten by Daemon). She definitely has grown up so much from the first book and has become so much more independent then the first time we meet Katy in book one. As the story progresses I felt that she becomes a much more stronger female lead and figures out who she really is. The plot of Onyx was so awesome! Definitely more action packed then the first book which I loved! Some really awesome surprises are revealed that I didn't see coming..which I loved. The fight scenes were really fun to read about..especially since Katy gets more involved in the action. The new characters we meet in this book are really great..and add some great twists to the story! The end of this book AH. Such a cliffhanger!!!! I really don't want to give anything away but you will all be blown away by the ending!

The romance in this book is AWESOME. In Onyx we get to see a totally different side to Daemon..a much more softer side then the first book which was interesting to see. Of course, he always has the best lines, and is soso irresistible! From poking Katy in the back, to crashing in on her date, Daemon is just amazing. He is so swoon worthy, and gorgeous of course! What I love the most about him is that sometimes he can be a bad boy, but deep down he is a softie at heart and cares about his family and Katy so much. He will do anything to protect Katy which is so sweet. I really liked the scenes were he kind of bared his soul to Katy, and especially the times where Katy also bares her soul to him.

Overall, I LOVED Onyx and I can't wait for the next book I am already a huge Jennifer L. Armentrout fan so this book makes me love her work even more. If you haven't read Obsidian...go read it! Please..you won't regret it :)

Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up. And then he opened his mouth. Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens. The hot alien living next door marks me. You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades. If I don't kill him first, that is.-Goodreads

My Review:
So for the past few months I have been hearing awesome things about Obsidian, so I finally decided to give and go buy this one. Boy, am I glad that I did!! This was the the book that I stayed up wayyy too late to read, and when I wasn't reading it I was thinking about the characters throughout my day. Obsidian was a roller coaster ride of emotions, action packed, and had loads of suspense! Definitely one of my favorite reads of this year!

I absolutely love the main character, Katy (otherwise known as Kitten by Daemon). For starters, she is a book blogger, and has various references to the book blogging community throughout the story! I really felt that this made her very relatable to the reader, especially since I am a book blogger! Another thing that I liked about Katy was that she was willing to stand up for herself, and is able to speak her mind. As the story progresses I felt that she becomes a much more stronger female lead and figures out who she really is. I'm also glad that when she found out Daemon and Dee were aliens she doesn't freak out, instead she accepts it pretty easily and promises not to tell. I think because she is a book blogger and she reads about different paranormal creatures she is able to understand who they are a lot more.

The romance in this book is AWESOME. Okay so who doesn't love Daemon Black?! He is so swoon worthy, and gorgeous of course! What I love the most about him is that sometimes he can be a bad boy, but deep down he is a softie at heart and cares about his family and Katy so much. He will do anything to protect Katy which is so sweet. The plot of Obsidian really is fantastic. It definitely wasn't predictable at all and I found myself clamoring for more after a cliffhanger. I think the world that Jennifer L. Armentrout creates is very very realistic and I can imagine story happening anywhere..maybe in my town?! :) I also loved how different this book was from other paranormal romances that I have read. This is actually the first book I have ever read about Aliens so it was so refreshing to read something different than witches, or vampires.

Overall, I LOVED Obsidian and I can't wait to dive into the next book! I am already a huge Jennifer L. Armentrout fan so this book makes me love her work even more. If your skeptical of this book because of the hype PLEASE don't be..you must read this book..you won't regret it!

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.-Goodreads

My Review:
When I finished Throne of Glass this morning all I could think about was that this was my FAVORITE BOOK OF THE YEAR..if not ever! I was swept into the world that Sarah J Maas creates and once I started I could not put this book down! There was action, romance, mystery, and an AMAZING female lead.

Let me begin with my new favorite heroine: Celaena. She is so strong and fierce, and isn't willing to back down out of anything. What I loved the most about her, is that while she keeps her front as the strong assassin, we also got to see a different and softer side of her. We learned that she loves to read, and has a soft spot for a small puppy which she receives later on in the story. The scenes where Celaena got to wear dresses and went to a ball really made me smile because it showed that while she can act all tough she still loves to have fun a be girly at times. Celaena also has a great sense of humor that had me laughing at loud. Her wit and thirst for knowledge also were really made Celaena shine even more as a character.

The plot of Throne of Glass is fantastic! This was the type of book that I could not put down...reading it on my iphone, kindle, the computer, you name it. I was sneaking glances at it while I was at the gym..just because I had to know what happened next! The action in this book was really great..it was fast paced but not too fast where I was confused and lost. I also loved how vivid the author described the setting to the reader. I could really imagine the castle and where Celaena was living..it was like almost a movie was playing in my head.

I was also really intrigued by the magic that got entangled within the plot. Sarah Maas does a fabulous job of incorporating it into the story! I really thought there was the perfect balance of action, romance, and mystery..I especially loved the scenes that I didn't expect coming at all!

Now onto the romance....When I first started this book I really didn't know how big of a part the romance was going to be in the novel. I'm glad to say that there really was the perfect amount. Dorian and Chaol were SO SWOON WORTHY. I so can't decide which one I like more! I have to say that both boys were complete opposites (one being a prince and the other being captain of the guard) and I liked seeing Celaena interact with both boys. I'm so glad that there wasn't any "insta-love" in this book..Celaena got to know each boy over a period of time and I liked seeing her relationship progress with both.

PLEASE GO BUY THIS BOOK. You so won't regret it! I loved loved loved this book and I highly recommend you all go check it out when it's released in August! I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series :)

Thank you HarperTeen for sending me a copy of Dreamless for review!!

Helen needs to get through hell in two ways: by night they reflected the underworld, even worse torments her day that Lucas and they may possibly love. In the underworld, Helen meets Orion. The more time they spend together, the closer they come to. Then something totally unexpected happens, the forces calculated for holding and Lucas Orion: The four houses are combined and Scion, a new Trojan war seems inevitable!-Goodreads

My Review:
After falling in love with this series after reading the first book, I was super excited to get my hands on a copy of Dreamless! Once this book arrived, I could not put it down, and I found myself staying up so late at night, because I had to know what happened next! Needless to say, this book definitely didn't disappoint and was a fabulous followup to an awesome series!

One of the main things that I loved about Dreamless was that it had a lot more action than the first book in the series. The scenes with the fighting and the battles were awesome! It was great to see Helen actually use her different powers and see her in action a lot more. Of course, I loved seeing Lucas, Hector, Jason and Adriane fight as well..and also Claire and Matt too!! The plot of Dreamless definitely wasn't too slow or too fast and Josephine Angelini does a really great job of keeping the plot moving without the book moving so fast that we have no idea what is going on. I also loved reading about the scenes in the Underworld when Helen is trying to accomplish her mission. Josephine Angelini really creates a place that I can imagine in my head while I'm reading this book.

Now onto my other favorite part about Dreamless...the characters! In this book, I really saw Helen develop so much as a character. She becomes so much more independent and willing to fight. She really is a courageous character and is willing to sacrifice herself for those that she loves. I really love that she is such a caring girl, and just wants to make things better for her friends and her family. Now onto Lucas....one of my favorite boys! We also see a huge change in Lucas from the first book. No longer do we see the outgoing, friendly boy, but we see a shadow of his former self. (Spoiler Alert for those who have not read the first book) Lucas (and Helen!) is crushed after learning that Helen is his cousin and he tries so desperately to stay away from her, no matter what the cost. I will say that I really liked seeing this darker side of Lucas, but it was also nice to see moments where he really came out and shined as a hero.

When I first read the summary of this book, I had no idea who Orion was/what he would be doing in the book. After reading Dreamless, I have to say that Orion easily has become one of my favorite characters! He is really brave, and super strong, but he also has an awesome sense of humor that really balances Helen out. He really is a great partner for Helen to have in the underworld and they really do make a great team! I was really worried about their being a love triangle because I'm not the biggest fans of them, but Josephine Angelini does a great job of straying away from the "typical" love triangle scenarios and makes this one work in a way that I really liked! I really didn't feel that I was rooting for one guy over the other. What I felt was that Helen needs both boys because they both balance her out and I really can see how she is torn between the two!

The introduction of a bunch of new characters including a bunch of minor gods and a few major ones as well! I really liked seeing a whole different group of characters included in this book, especially since I love reading about Greek mythology! These new characters definitely make the plot really stand out, and I found myself keep re-reading scenes with these characters in them because I liked them so much!

Overall, Dreamless is an AMAZING followup to an already awesome series!! This book has action, suspense, and romance, and of course Greek mythology! I can't wait to read the third book in this series and make sure to pick up a copy of Dreamless when it comes out on May 29th!!

THE FALSE PRINCE is the thrilling first book in a brand-new trilogy filled with danger and deceit and hidden identities that will have readers rushing breathlessly to the end.

In a discontent kingdom, civil war is brewing. To unify the divided people, Conner, a nobleman of the court, devises a cunning plan to find an impersonator of the king's long-lost son and install him as a puppet prince. Four orphans are recruited to compete for the role, including a defiant boy named Sage. Sage knows that Conner's motives are more than questionable, yet his life balances on a sword's point -- he must be chosen to play the prince or he will certainly be killed. But Sage's rivals have their own agendas as well.

As Sage moves from a rundown orphanage to Conner's sumptuous palace, layer upon layer of treachery and deceit unfold, until finally, a truth is revealed that, in the end, may very well prove more dangerous than all of the lies taken together.

An extraordinary adventure filled with danger and action, lies and deadly truths that will have readers clinging to the edge of their seats.-Goodreads

My Review:
The False Prince has become the best book I have read this year..once I started it I could not put this book down! At first, I wasn't sure how much I would like this book...I'm not a huge fan of all out fantasy types of books, but four hours later, I couldn't believe that I didn't pick this book up sooner.

One of my favorite parts about the book was the plot!

My Review:
Wow..I was completely blown away by this book..I fell in love with the story/the characters and this easily is one of my all time favorite books. Once I started The Selection I could not put it down..and it was so hard to tear myself away from this awesome world that Kiera Cass creates!!

One of my favorite parts of The Selection was the plot!! At first, I was a little bit unsure about the dystopian (seeing that I'm not a huge fan of dystopian but I am definitely warming up to more books in this genre) aspect of this book, but once I started this book I liked how the world had changed but it still had aspects that made the people and places seem relatable. I also loved the idea of a competition for girls to "win" the heart of a Prince. Kiera Cass does such a great job of weaving the caste system that she creates into the novel, with the "reality show" idea of one girl winning and becoming a princess. I was so drawn into the story and how all of these girls are vying to win Prince Maxon's heart that I just couldn't stop reading!

I also really liked the main character America! She is a such a strong character, and is willing to stand up for herself, but she is also down to earth and doesn't let the competition get to her head. Overall, she is a very normal girl and can definitely relate to teenagers who read this book! She has the characteristics of a leader but is so kindhearted and is willing to help anyone. However, America also can be a little bit stubborn and isn't afraid to tell people what she believes which makes me like her even more!

Now onto the love triangle..at first I thought I thought this book might have a love triangle similar to Twilight where both boys are at odds with each other over a girl's heart..but I didn't really feel a love triangle at all in The Selection (at least not till the end!). Usually I'm not a huge fan of love triangles but Kiera Cass really made it work and I liked how American interacted with both boys! At first I thought I would be a huge team Aspen fan..but as the novel progressed and we learned more about Prince Maxon..I have to say that he has won me over. Maxon is so kind, and such a sweetheart that I really really liked him. While Aspen is also a great guy..he can be a little bit of a heartbreaker..but I have to say that I am interested in seeing both boys try to win America's heart!!

One of the best parts of this book was that at certain points Kiera Cass made me feel like I was in the audience watching all of this unfold and I loved that! The added bonuses of action in this novel were also great..they didn't distract from the overall plot of the story but they definitely made the novel even stronger and I really enjoyed reading those scenes!!

Overall, I LOVED The Selection! I can't wait for the second book in the series..especially after the ending of this one!! Please don't let negative reviews of this book steer you away from it..give it a chance! I promise it will be worth your while :) If you want to read an awesome book with glamour, action, romance, princesses, dystopian, and an amazing female lead you should check this book out!! Also..they are possibly making The Selection into a tv show on the CW in the fall..how awesome is that?!

My Rating: Five out of Five Stars

P.S. Here's a quick look of who is playing who in the tv show!!

Aimee Teegarden is playing America

Ethan Peck is playing Prince Maxon

William Mosely is playing Aspen

Pre-Order it on Amazon
Thank you Spencer Hill Press for sending me an ARC copy of this book!!

There is need. And then there is Fate...

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her.

When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon... and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude... or killing her.

When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

My Review:
When thinking about a word that came to mind to describe how I felt once I finished Pure, I would have to go with AMAZING. I was a little bit unsure at first how much I would like Pure, especially since sometimes the second book in some series have been disappointing to me..but this book definitely didn't disappoint!!

Of course, one of my favorite parts about this book was the plot!! I was immediately swept back into the world of Alex, Seth, and Aiden, and I couldn't put this book down! It was really fun to read about Alex training more at the covenant and seeing her progress with her skills! I also liked learning a little bit more about the daimons and also learning about new mythology in this book. I also liked how Jennifer L. Armentrout was able to make the mythology her own, and take a new spin on greek mythology instead of following the original formula and I like seeing different twists on classic myths.

Another aspect of this book which I loved was the romance!! Usually I'm not a huge fan of love triangles/forbidden romances but Jennifer L. Armentrout really made it work so it didn't seem like a love triangle at all. (spoiler alert if you haven't read the first book) I really loved both of Alex's relationship's with Aiden and Seth. With Seth, it's a lot more unpredictable and wild, but with Aiden it feels very passionate and caring. I know that I can't decide which boy I like more..both are great guys in their own way!!

Their were definitely many moments in this book that I didn't see coming at all which was really nice. I like to be kept on my toes when I'm reading a book and I really liked how Jennifer L. Armentrout was able to keep the plot suspenseful. Pure definitely was an emotional ride, some moments I was laughing and other moments I was about to cry. These are the books that I really love and feel that I can really get into and enjoy.

Another aspect of this book that I really enjoyed was the main character Alex! She is a really great, strong willed character. I like how she is able to stand up for herself but is also really real and relatable to a regular teenage girl.

Overall, I really enjoyed Pure, just as much as I loved Half-Blood!! I highly recommend this book to fans of Greek Mythology, and people who want a great paranormal read! I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Deity, which will be published in the fall.

My Rating: Five out of Five Stars

My Review:
So I haven't read really any historical romance YA books in awhile so when I saw this one at my local library I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad that I did!! I seriously need to read more historical romance ya books!

One of my favorite parts about this book was the plot!! It was really fun to see the main character Alex, interact with her friends, and of course the dashing Gavin! It was interesting to read about life during the 1800s in England and how important "The Season" was!! I really liked how the plot of this book wasn't too slow, but it wasn't too fast either which was nice. I also loved how the romance progressed in this book between Gavin and Alex. It was nice to see them as life-long friends and see their relationship change into a romantic one!

I also really liked the main character, Alex! She is very independent and strong willed, especially for a character living in the 1800s where women didn't have much of a say as they do now. Alex definitely was a very likeable character and I really enjoyed watching her grow as a character throughout the book!!

Overall, I really enjoyed the Season!! If you are looking for a historical ya book please check this one out!!

My Review:

I didn't realize how much I loved this series until I picked up Wings of the Wicked...oh man it was SO good!! Even better than the first book in the series!!
When I first started Wings of the Wicked, it was so hard to put down! There were so many amazing parts that I did not see coming-both the good and the bad!

So one of my favorite parts about this book is the romance between Will and Ellie!! He has loved her for 500 years!! That's serious dedication..and every scene that they have together makes me want them to be together so bad!! The fact that Will is also  one of my favorite male characters makes me feel for him even more! He is so compassionate and sweet, but also he is willing to do ANYTHING for Ellie which makes me love him even more!

Another thing that I loved about this book was the action!! I'm not a huge fan of so much action where it just overtakes the plot of the book, but this had the perfect amount of it which I really liked! I also loved learning more about Ellie's past/angel mythology as well!

One thing that always gets me in the end is cliffhangers!! Ahhh I can't wait another year for the next book!!

Overall, I LOVED Wings of the Wicked!! Probably one of my favorite sequels so far this year!! Sometimes certain sequels of books fall flat for me due to love triangles, and unnecessary plot changes..but this one was incredible and I'm so glad that I loved it.

So I highly recommend that you pick this book up and if you haven't read the first book (Angelfire) please check it out!!

Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust. -Goodreads

My Review:
What a really fun read!! At first, I wasn't sure what to expect with Ruby Red, but when I saw the plot summary on goodreads I was very intrigued! I haven't read that many books about time travel..but whenever I do I am always really interested in seeing where the characters travel to and this book was no exception! It was really fun to see Gwyneth go back in time and interact with people from different eras.
One of my favorite characters in this book was Gwyneth. She is so fun and she is not afraid to stand up for herself which is one of the main reasons why I like her so much!

I really enjoyed the romantic aspect of Ruby Red as well..while there wasn't so much of it in the book the hints of romance were nice to read about and makes me wanting to see what happens in the next book.
One of the best parts about this book was the time travel! Kerstin Gier made me as a reader feel like I actually was back in time with Gwyneth and I really enjoyed that. It was also fun reading about how people acted/dressed in different time periods.

Overall, I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more books in this series!!

403 pages

For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

Described by Richelle Mead as “utterly captivating,” Unearthly received outstanding reviews, garnered accolades from New York Times bestselling authors, and was named an Indie Next Pick. In this heart-wrenching sequel, Cynthia Hand expertly captures the all-consuming joy of first love—and the agony of loss. This beautifully woven tale will appeal to fans of Lauren Kate, Becca Fitzpatrick, and Aprilynne Pike.-Goodreads

My Review:
When I first starting reading Hallowed, I was a little bit worried that I wouldn't enjoy this one as much as Unearthly because sometimes the second book to a series isn't as great as the first. As Hallowed went on, I was totally blown away and this easily became my favorite book in the series (so far!!).

Hallowed has a very different tone then Unearthly, which was really refreshing to see a different side of our favorite characters!! I'm not going to lie, there are moments in this book that are really depressing and sad, and yet Cynthia Hand writes this book so beautifully that I couldn't put this book down!
I really really loved the angel moments in Hallowed. These scenes were so beautifully done and I really liked learning more about the angel history and how it involves Clara and her friends.

And of course. The romance in this novel blew me away. (if you haven't read the first book please stop reading here!) I am not a huge fan of love triangles but I actually loved how Cynthia Hand made this love triangle work and she made it feel so believable and real. I really liked seeing another side to Clara and Tucker's relationship and I also loved seeing her react with Christian!!
The character development in Hallowed also was really great. Clara changes in so many ways and really develops into a character that I feel that I can relate to and I want to read more about!

The ending of Hallowed was so heartbreaking and so beautiful..and it just made me want to keep rereading this book over and over again. I wish that the third book could come out now because I am desperate to read more in this series!

Overall, I really really enjoyed Hallowed. It was so well written, and while it has a somber tone, it really worked for the series. There were so many moments, while reading this book, that I wanted to laugh/cry/cheer for Clara. I cannot wait to read the third book in the series and see what happens next!! I hope you all check out this book and if you haven't read the series PLEASE do so :)

My Rating: Five out of Five Stars

.-Goodreads

My Review:
"What are you really studying?" He leans back to look at her. "The statistical probability of love at first sight."
The quotation above is probably one of my favorite ones in the whole book!! I absolutely adored The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. When I first heard about it, this book sounded right up my alley: it has an attractive British boy, an amazing female lead, and a trip to one of my favorite cities..London!!

What I really loved the most about this book was seeing how two people can suddenly go from strangers, to falling in love in less then 24 hours. Of course, that doesn't really seem realistic but the way that Jennifer E. Smith wrote this book makes me really feel like it can happen!!

My favorite character in this novel has to be Hadley!! Within the span of twenty-four hours she changes so much as a character and I really liked seeing her progression!! I also loved seeing her relationship with Oliver, how he could be so sweet and caring, and yet have a great humorous side as well! I was really cheering for both of these characters as I read this novel!!

While this book is not only a love story, it also deals with family and families reuniting/coming together and it was a really great aspect to be added to this novel!!

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this book!! It was a great contemporary/romance novel for me and I really loved reading it!! I not only fell in love with the story..but with the characters as well!!

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi Review

Name: Shatter Me
Publisher: Harperteen
Release Date: November 15th, 2011
338 pages

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.
-Goodreads

My Review:
The first thing that came to my head after I read this novel was WHY HADN'T I READ THIS BOOK SOONER?? Oh man, this was SUCH a good book!! Probably one of the best I have read in a while!!

At first, I was a little bit skeptical about this book..I am not a huge fan of dystopian and I wasn't sure where this one would take me. Once I started, however, I could not put this down!! One of my favorite things about Shatter Me was Tahereh Mafi's writing style..it is amazing!! This book is written in such a unique way and I LOVED it.
The plot of this novel is so fast paced and brilliant. I have never read a book like this one before and it was so refreshing to read something different then what I normally read!!
I really loved the main character Juliette..she is so strong willed and independent and she progresses so much throughout the novel!!

I don't want to give too much away..but my other favorite character is Adam, a solider for the reestablishment. He is so dedicated to Juliette and doesn't look at her like a monster..and their relationship is SO AMAZING!!

As you can all tell I LOVED LOVED this novel and I totally recommend it to everyone!! I can't wait for the next book!!

My Rating: Six out of Five Stars (I am going over my five star limit because that's how much I loved this book :))

Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit -- more sparkly, more fun, more wild -- the better. When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door
-Goodreads

My Review:

Wow what an awesome book!!!!!! I was a little bit skeptical about this book at first because I LOVED Anna and The French Kiss! However, I immediately fell in love with this book once I started it!!
I loved Lola! She was an awesome character! She wasn't afraid to be who she really was and I really liked that about her!
I also loved Lola and Cricket's relationship throughout the novel! Of course, I don't want to give anything away but I liked seeing it progress throughout the book.
Another part of this book I enjoyed was surprise appearances by my two favorite characters: Anna and St. Clair! Stephanie puts them in as the perfect balance to this novel, not too little but not distracting from the main characters of the story.

Once again, Stephanie Perkins writes another AMAZING contemporary novel! I HIGHLY recommend this book! I can't wait for Isla and the Happily Ever After!

My Rating: Five out of Five Stars
