Follow and Feature Friday # 41

Hi everyone..Happy Friday!! Follow and Feature Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous week! Anyone do anything exciting this week?

Anyways..here's this week's question!

Q: Summer Reading. What was your favorite book that you were REQUIRED to read when you were in school?

A: Okay so I think I'm going to do this by year because I can't pick one :)

Ninth Grade: A Tale of Two Cities-still one of my all time favorite books EVER
Tenth Grade: The Great Gatsby-soooooo amazing. Whose excited to see the movie?!

Eleventh Grade: Macbeth-this has to be my favorite play written by Shakespeare! I'm also going to have to pick Pride and Prejudice..we read so many awesome books in eleventh grade!! Wait..one more 1984 also was a really really great read!
Twelfth Grade: Hmmm..we read Crime and Punishment this past year which was fine. Wasn't my favorite but it was interesting!

What's your favorite book that you were required to read? Let me know in the comments and leave me links :)

  2. Gah! I totally forgot about Gatsby! I really enjoyed that book too. I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice as part of my summer reading... and I think I'm going to read Crime and Punishment too.
I haven't read 1984 (and probably won't for school) but I've heard such good things about it!

  6. I never read A Tale of Two Cities as required reading, though I have read it on my personal time. But Dicken's Great Expectations made my list!

  7. Wow you picked some great ones! I enjoyed The Great Gatsby (but I honestly didn't love it), but I really really enjoyed both Macbeth and Pride and Prejudice! And we also watched both of the films for those last two, which were also great!

I'm a new GFC follower! You have a really clean, beautiful blog! I'm glad I found it. :)

  8. Great Gatsby was cool. I remember thinking a Tale of Two Cities was the worst book ever written.

No one has said my choice yet:

  11. Great list! The Great Gatsby and Macbeth are definitely awesome (though I like Hamlet more). I actually didn't read Pride and Prejudice until college, but I loved it all the same! Happy Friday! My FF

  13. Oh wow! You're lucky to have enjoyed so many! I was already craving paranormal books by middle school but they were hardly out there yet sadly. So I never really enjoyed any required reading.

  14. ok, I am feeling old. I had hard enough time remembering what I didn't like, had to get a reminder that Where the Red Fern Grows was a fav and Old Yeller. I was in High School in early 80's, so its been awhile, lol. Never read any books you have listed, none were required, my school was makeing us read Shakesphear and stuff like that, my teacher was like 60 then, so very old fashioned. I even then craved paranormal type books, and the best I could find was scary Stephen King, and his books scared the crud out of me, but was different, what I wanted. lol.
