My Thoughts:
I am very excited to read this book when it is released in June! It sounds very mysterious and I really like reading books about past lives so this will be fun to read! Also..it takes place in England..does it get any better than this?! The cover of Transcendence is also really cool..very dark and mystifying!
Love isn’t the only emotion to survive death . . .
When a visit to the Tower of London triggers an overwhelmingly real vision of a beheading that occurred centuries before, Cole Ryan fears she is losing her mind. A mysterious boy, Griffon Hall, comes to her aid, but the intensity of their immediate connection seems to open the floodgate of memories even wider.
As their feelings grow, Griffon reveals their common bond as members of the Akhet—an elite group of people who can remember past lives and use their collected wisdom for the good of the world. But not all Akhet are altruistic, and a rogue is after Cole to avenge their shared past. Now in extreme danger, Cole must piece together clues from many lifetimes. What she finds could ruin her chance at a future with Griffon, but risking his love may be the only way to save them both.
Full of danger, romance, and intrigue, Transcendence breathes new life into a perpetually fascinating question: What would you do with another life to live?-Goodreads

She should not exist.
He should not love her.
Claire Brennan has been attending Emerson Academy for two years now (the longest she and her mom have remained anywhere) and she’s desperate to stay put for the rest of high school. So there’s no way she’s going to tell her mom about the psychic visions she’s been having or the creepy warnings that she’s in danger.
Alec MacKenzie is fed up with his duties to watch and, when necessary, eliminate the descendants of his angelic forefathers. He chose Emerson as the ideal hiding place where he could be normal for once. He hadn’t factored Claire into his plans. . . .
Their love is forbidden, going against everything Alec has been taught to believe. But when the reason behind Claire’s unusual powers is revealed and the threat to her life becomes clear, how far will Alec go to protect her?-Goodreads
My Review:
What a real great angel read!! After just finishing Hallowed (the second book in the Unearthly series) I was in the mood for another angel read and I am glad that I bought this one.
At first, I didn't know what to expect about Forbidden. From the plot summary it seemed like a typical paranormal romance book, but as I read on, many aspects of this book really stood out to me and I really enjoyed.
One of the many things that I enjoyed about Forbidden was the plot. It is very mysterious and keeps you guessing and it was great trying to figure out what would be happening next instead of knowing what would happen. I also really liked how the book was written from both Alec's and Claire's point of view. Not many books are written from dual perspectives, especially a boy and a girl, so it was really great to see what was going through both of the character's heads, not just one.
I also really liked the romance in this book! While it was predictable at times..it was still fun to read about!
Overall, if you are looking for a great angel book to read..I recommend that you read Forbidden! Here's hoping that I sequel will be coming out soon :)

The International Kissing Club by Ivy Adams Review
Name: The International Kissing Club
Author: Ivy Adams
Publisher: Walker & Company
Release Date: January 3rd, 2012
Buy The Book: Amazon
400 pages
Piper, Cassidy, Mei, and Izzy have been best friends their whole lives. And they've always agreed on one goal: to get out of tiny Paris, Texas, and see the world. The school's foreign exchange program seems like the perfect escape: Piper will go to the original Paris; Mei will go to China; Cassidy will go to Australia; and Izzy, unable to afford the program, will stay at home. To add spice to their semester away, and to stay connected to their best friends, the girls start The International Kissing Club, a Facebook page where they can anonymously update one another and brag about all the amazing guys they're meeting. After all, these girls are traveling abroad: amazing guys abound at every turn! But sometimes fun, flirty vacation flings turn into more serious romances, and sometimes you don't return from abroad the same person you were. Will the girls' relationships-and their friendships-be able to survive?-Goodreads
My Review:
What a really fun read!! When I first got this book from the library..I wasn't sure what to expect! But the concept of this novel sounded awesome so I had to give this one a try.
What I really liked about this book was that it rotated chapters between all four girls..so it was nice to see all of their different perspectives on their travels instead of just seeing one of the girl's thoughts. I also really liked the travel aspect of this book..who doesn't want to go abroad to study? I know I do!!
Out of all of the girls I really liked Cassidy and thought I could really relate to her. At first, leaving home was hard for her but in the end she really loved her time in Australia and she found love along the way with an amazing Australian boy :).
I really liked the over all plot of this book..it was a very original contemporary book and overall I really liked the overall concept of friendship, travel, and falling in love!!
The only thing I didn't really love about this book was the subplot with Izzy..while she redeemed herself in the last chapter it was really hard for me to connect with her.
Overall, if you are looking for a fun, contemporary read definitely give this book a try :)

Hallowed (Unearthly #2) by Cynthia Hand Review
Name: Hallowed
Publisher: Harperteen
Release Date: January 17th, 2012
403 pages
For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought.
Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
Described by Richelle Mead as “utterly captivating,” Unearthly received outstanding reviews, garnered accolades from New York Times bestselling authors, and was named an Indie Next Pick. In this heart-wrenching sequel, Cynthia Hand expertly captures the all-consuming joy of first love—and the agony of loss. This beautifully woven tale will appeal to fans of Lauren Kate, Becca Fitzpatrick, and Aprilynne Pike.-Goodreads
My Review:
When I first starting reading Hallowed, I was a little bit worried that I wouldn't enjoy this one as much as Unearthly because sometimes the second book to a series isn't as great as the first. As Hallowed went on, I was totally blown away and this easily became my favorite book in the series (so far!!).
Hallowed has a very different tone then Unearthly, which was really refreshing to see a different side of our favorite characters!! I'm not going to lie, there are moments in this book that are really depressing and sad, and yet Cynthia Hand writes this book so beautifully that I couldn't put this book down!
I really really loved the angel moments in Hallowed. These scenes were so beautifully done and I really liked learning more about the angel history and how it involves Clara and her friends.
And of course. The romance in this novel blew me away. (if you haven't read the first book please stop reading here!) I am not a huge fan of love triangles but I actually loved how Cynthia Hand made this love triangle work and she made it feel so believable and real. I really liked seeing another side to Clara and Tucker's relationship and I also loved seeing her react with Christian!!
The character development in Hallowed also was really great. Clara changes in so many ways and really develops into a character that I feel that I can relate to and I want to read more about!
The ending of Hallowed was so heartbreaking and so beautiful..and it just made me want to keep rereading this book over and over again. I wish that the third book could come out now because I am desperate to read more in this series!
Overall, I really really enjoyed Hallowed. It was so well written, and while it has a somber tone, it really worked for the series. There were so many moments, while reading this book, that I wanted to laugh/cry/cheer for Clara. I cannot wait to read the third book in the series and see what happens next!! I hope you all check out this book and if you haven't read the series PLEASE do so :)
My Rating: Five out of Five Stars

Waiting on Wednesday 29: Don't You Wish
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine!!
Name: Don't You Wish
Author: Roxanne St. Claire
Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Release Date: July 10th, 2012
My Thoughts:
What first caught my eye about this book was the plot summary, especially the part about landing in a parallel universe. I am very interested to see how that works out for Annie! I also really like the cover of this book..so glamorous!! Can't wait to read this one in July, and it sounds like the perfect beach read :)
When plain and unpopular Annie Nutter gets zapped by one of her dad's whacked-out inventions, she lands in a parallel universe where her life becomes picture-perfect. Now she's Ayla Monroe, daughter of the same mother but a different father—and she's the gorgeous, rich queen bee of her high school.
In this universe, Ayla lives in glitzy Miami instead of dreary Pittsburgh and has beaucoup bucks, courtesy of her billionaire—if usually absent—father. Her friends hit the clubs, party backstage at concerts, and take risks that are exhilarating . . . and illegal. Here she's got a date to lose her V-card with the hottest guy she's ever seen.
But on the inside, Ayla is still Annie.
So when she's offered the chance to leave the dream life and head home to Pittsburgh, will she take it?
The choice isn't as simple as you think.-Goodreads

For seventeen years, Eloise Hart had no idea the world of Faery even existed. Now she has been abducted and trapped in the Rath of Lord Strahan, King of Faery. Strahan was only meant to rule for seven years, as Faery tradition dictates, and then give up his crown to another. But he won't comply, and now chaos threatens both worlds.
The only one who can break his stranglehold on the Faery court is his wife. . . Eloise's aunt Antonia. Using Eloise to lure Antonia, Strahan captures his wife, desperate to end the only threat to his reign. Now Eloise must become the rescuer. My Review:
When I first saw this book and read this description..I was a little bit hesitant. I have read a bunch of books about faeries so I wasn't sure how much I would like this one. Overall..I really enjoyed Stolen Away. It was very different from other faerie books that I have read which I really enjoyed!! It was nice to see something different then the traditional faerie stories.
I really liked how the author had the chapters alternating between the two best friends- Jo and Eloise. I really enjoyed seeing two different points of view and getting a different perspectives as well!!
One thing that bothering me in this book was that the romance in it seemed way to rushed/forced. I don't have a problem with insta-love, but sometimes it just seems way to rushed and in this case I would have rather seen the relationships in this novel to be a little bit more drawn out then happening instantly.
In the end, I really liked this book!! It was a fun read and it was enjoyable to see a new perspective on faerie life! If you are looking for a fun paranormal book then I recommend you check this book out!!

Hi everyone!! Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee!!
I hope that everyone has had an awesome week :)
Okay so this Friday's question is:
Q: What's the craziest thing you've ever done to get your hands on any particular book?
A: Hmmm this is hard question!! I think I am going to go with the time I received the last Harry Potter book!! I was at sleep-away camp and of course there was no bookstore in sight!! The minute the UPS truck pulled into camp, me and about fifty other girls sprinted after it trying to get our books!! When the UPS person took the boxes out of the bag, I grabbed mine and wouldn't let it leave my site :)
Well that's my response for this week!! What do you think of mine? What was your craziest moment that you had to get your hands on a book??
Comment below and don't forget to follow!! Only seven away from 350 :)

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith Review
Name: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight
Publisher: Poppy
Release Date: January 2nd, 2012
236 pages
My Review:
"What are you really studying?" He leans back to look at her. "The statistical probability of love at first sight."
The quotation above is probably one of my favorite ones in the whole book!! I absolutely adored The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. When I first heard about it, this book sounded right up my alley: it has an attractive British boy, an amazing female lead, and a trip to one of my favorite cities..London!!
What I really loved the most about this book was seeing how two people can suddenly go from strangers, to falling in love in less then 24 hours. Of course, that doesn't really seem realistic but the way that Jennifer E. Smith wrote this book makes me really feel like it can happen!!
My favorite character in this novel has to be Hadley!! Within the span of twenty-four hours she changes so much as a character and I really liked seeing her progression!! I also loved seeing her relationship with Oliver, how he could be so sweet and caring, and yet have a great humorous side as well! I was really cheering for both of these characters as I read this novel!!
While this book is not only a love story, it also deals with family and families reuniting/coming together and it was a really great aspect to be added to this novel!!
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this book!! It was a great contemporary/romance novel for me and I really loved reading it!! I not only fell in love with the story..but with the characters as well!!

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.-Goodreads

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this book!! It was a great contemporary/romance novel for me and I really loved reading it!! I not only fell in love with the story..but with the characters as well!!

Waiting on Wednesday 28: Between the Lines
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine!!
Name: Between the Lines
Author: Jodi Picoult
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Release Date: June 26th, 2012
My Thoughts:
Okay so I have never read a book by Jodi Picoult (which I SO need to do!!) but if I had to start with any of her books this is one that I want to start with!! The plot sounds really interesting!! Especially the part about Prince Oliver trying to get out of his book!! I really can't wait to read this one when it comes out :)
What happens when happily ever after…isn’t?
Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book—one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah.
And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom.
Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale. -Goodreads

Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern Review
Name: Night Circus
Publisher: Doubleday
Release Date: September 13, 2011
387 pages
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night.
But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway—a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love—a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.
True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus performers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.
Written in rich, seductive prose, this spell-casting novel is a feast for the senses and the heart.-Goodreads
My Review:
When I first started this book..I was really really into it!! Halfway through, however, I hit a road block and it was really heard for me to finish this book!
At the start I was really interested in the magic and the mythology of the Night Circus! I really wanted to learn more about the Circus and more about Celia and Marco.
The one thing that really bothered me about this book was that it was so confusing!! There were way to many flashbacks, flash forwards and I couldn't keep up. Also, there were too many characters for me to keep up!!
I did really like the forbidden romance between Celia and Marco and how they interact with different characters.
Overall, while there were certain points to this book that I really liked, I was unfortunately confused and it was hard for me to read at times.

Royally Crushed by Niki Burnham Review
Name: Royally Crushed
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Release Date: July 26th, 2011
624 pages
A sweet and sparkly romantic comedy about finding your prince!
True love isn't only in fairy tales...When Valerie's parents split up and she has to move to a tiny European country called Schwerinborg, she's pretty sure her life is over. That is, until she meets Georg. He's smart, sweet, and unbelievably cute. And even better, he's a prince! But with Georg under so much pressure, and the press watching their every move, Valerie soon discovers dating a prince is not exactly the happily ever after she'd been hoping for. But Georg has swept her off her feet and Valerie's not ready to give up her prince just yet...-Goodreads
My Review:
After Prince William and Catherine Middleton got married, Barnes and Noble was going CRAZY with selling books having to do with princes/England/boarding school etc. and I happened to see this book!! Royally Crushed is actually three books on the series bound into one (Royally Jacked; Spin Control; Do Over) so it was really fun to read this series as a whole instead of waiting for the next book to come out!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book!! It was a fun read and I really enjoyed reading about Valerie's encounters with Prince Georg. It was fun seeing their relationship progress through these books!! I love reading teen romance books, especially when they have princes in them!! It makes me feel like it could happen to anyone :)
Anyways, I also really enjoyed the main character Valerie! It was really interesting to see her perspective and how she is dealing with Georg. She is also a really funny character too which I really enjoyed reading about!
So in the end, if you are looking for a fun read (with a Prince!!) you should check out this book :)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine!
Name: Spellcaster (Spellbound #2)
Author: Cara Lynn Shultz
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Release Date: March 27th, 2012
My Thoughts:
After reading the first book, I thought this series would be done..but I recently saw on goodreads that there was going to be a second book and I am super happy!! I can't wait to see what's in store for Emma and Brendan!!
Finding your eternal soulmate - easy.
Stopping a true-love-hungry evil - not so much…
After breaking a centuries-old romantic curse, Emma Connor is (almost) glad to get back to normal problems. Although...it's not easy dealing with the jealous cliques and gossip that rule her exclusive Upper East Side prep, even for a sixteen-year-old newbie witch. Having the most-wanted boy in school as her eternal soul mate sure helps ease the pain-especially since wealthy, rocker-hot Brendan Salinger is very good at staying irresistibly close....
But something dark and hungry is using Emma and Brendan's deepest fears to reveal damaging secrets and destroy their trust in each other. And Emma's crash course in über-spells may not be enough to keep them safe…or to stop an inhuman force bent on making their unsuspected power its own.-Goodreads

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi Review
Name: Shatter Me
Publisher: Harperteen
Release Date: November 15th, 2011
338 pages
Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.
The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.
The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.
Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
In this electrifying debut, Tahereh Mafi presents a world as riveting as The Hunger Games and a superhero story as thrilling as The X-Men. Full of pulse-pounding romance, intoxicating villainy, and high-stakes choices, Shatter Me is a fresh and original dystopian novel—with a paranormal twist—that will leave readers anxiously awaiting its sequel.-Goodreads
My Review:
The first thing that came to my head after I read this novel was WHY HADN'T I READ THIS BOOK SOONER?? Oh man, this was SUCH a good book!! Probably one of the best I have read in a while!!
At first, I was a little bit skeptical about this book..I am not a huge fan of dystopian and I wasn't sure where this one would take me. Once I started, however, I could not put this down!! One of my favorite things about Shatter Me was Tahereh Mafi's writing style..it is amazing!! This book is written in such a unique way and I LOVED it.
The plot of this novel is so fast paced and brilliant. I have never read a book like this one before and it was so refreshing to read something different then what I normally read!!
I really loved the main character Juliette..she is so strong willed and independent and she progresses so much throughout the novel!!
I don't want to give too much away..but my other favorite character is Adam, a solider for the reestablishment. He is so dedicated to Juliette and doesn't look at her like a monster..and their relationship is SO AMAZING!!
As you can all tell I LOVED LOVED this novel and I totally recommend it to everyone!! I can't wait for the next book!!
My Rating: Six out of Five Stars (I am going over my five star limit because that's how much I loved this book :))

Above World by by Jenn Reese Review
Name: Above World
Publisher: Candlewick Press
Release Date: February 14th, 2012
Thanks to Candlewick press for sending me an ARC copy of this book to review!!
A suspenseful sci-fi escapade plucks two children out of the ocean for a thrilling adventure.
Thirteen-year-old Aluna has lived her entire life under the ocean with the Coral Kampii in the City of Shifting Tides. But after centuries spent hidden from the Above World, her colony's survival is at risk. The Kampii's breathing necklaces are failing, but the elders are unwilling to venture above water to seek answers. Only headstrong Aluna and her friend Hoku are stubborn and bold enough to face the terrors of land to search for way to save their people. But can Aluna's fierce determination and fighting skills and Hoku's tech-savvy keep them safe? Set in a world where overcrowding has led humans to adapt - growing tails to live under the ocean or wings to live on mountains - here is a ride through a future where greed and cruelty have gone unchecked, but the loyalty of friends remains true.-Goodreads
My Review:
I am normally not a huge science fiction fan but when I when I started reading this book I realized what I had been missing out!!
One of the first things that captivated me was the characters. Aluna is such a strong willed character and is so determined to help others. It was great to see her progress throughout the novel and I was cheering her on throughout the book! Her trusty friend Hoku became one of my favorite characters in this book as well!! At the beginning of the book I was not a really big fan of Hoku but by the end he really was my favorite character.
The plot of this novel was really interesting too!! It was interesting to see how humans dealt with the human population growth by moving to the sea or growing wings. I also really liked how the author was able to take one of my favorite fantasy creatures, mermaids, and make it totally different then what I have read before!!
The only complaint I have about this book is that it was a little slow paced for me and I wish that it moved a little bit quicker.
Overall, I recommend that everyone should check this book out!! It has something for everyone and I can't wait to read more in this series.
